Blind Transfer

Use the blind transfer node to transfer the call and complete the task. The current task does not provide any further handling of the call flow. The caller hears information returned by the transfer destination, which could take the form of post dial delay, [custom] ring back, the network treatment, or busy message.

To provide some further handling of the call flow, and complete the task once the transferred call is connected, set ANI (Automatic Number Identification) or a display name.

Name

Give the node a name.

Transfer to Phone Number

Enter the phone number required to transfer the call.

To enter the phone number, click the pencil to the right of the field. This will open the Expression Builder.

ANI

Optionally, include ANI. To enter the ANI, click the pencil to the right of the field. This will open the Expression Builder.

ANI modification is network dependent. Consult your service provider for information on its implementation, including possible limitations to providing an ANI not associated with your service.

Display Name

Optionally, enter a display name.

To enter the display name, click the pencil to the right of the field. This will open the Expression Builder.

Transfer Time-Out (Seconds)

Select the time in seconds to wait for the call transfer to succeed before applying the no answer/busy event handler. If unspecified, the platform default is used.

No Answer/Busy Event Handler

Select the call flow to follow if the transfer is unsuccessful. This field is required when the ANI or display name is set.

The call flow is created on a canvas from this task. If the canvas has not been created yet, type the name of the canvas in the field.

Transfer Target to Caller

This setting does not change the experience for the caller or the recipient of the blind transfer. It is a technical setting that identifies the source and destination in the API call to the SBC.
