Distribute

Use the distribute node to distribute the call flow across multiple streams with weighted allocation.

Name

Give the node a name.

Weighted Allocation

Repeat for each call stream:

1. In the Weight field, enter a number to represent the weighted allocation for this route.

   Note:

   Enter a whole number. Floating numbers are not supported.

   Weights sum to 100.

   If the weights do not sum to 100 using whole numbers, as is the case with three equal weights, continue to use whole numbers. If the weights sum to above or below 100, Studio calculates the correct weighted allocation for each route. For three equally weighted routes, you could allocate a weight of 30 to each route to sum to 90.

2. Specify the route in the Goto Node field.

   The route may be to a node or canvas in the task.

Variable Allocation

To supply the weighted allocation as a variable, select a variable from the Variable field and fill in the corresponding Goto Node.

Example

In this example, Studio directs 10% of calls to the Survey node, and 90% of calls to the Normal_Flow node.
