Debug Logs

Use debug logs to track events that occur in your tasks.

Debug logs are inserted in the system log, and other datastores as requested, while debug logs are enabled.

Enabling Debug Logs

In task properties, select Enable Debug Logs.

Deselect this field to disable debug logs.

Debug logs are disabled automatically two hours from the time they are enabled.

See Task Properties.

Note:

Enabling of debug logs does not propagate to child tasks.

Debug Logs and the System Log

The system log presents information in a fairly fixed way. The system log presents additional information while debug logs are enabled.

For more information on the system log, the events it tracks and the information it stores, see System Log and System Log Events.

Debug Logs in Datastores other than the System Log

Under some circumstances, your debug log requirements may call for a log in datastores other than the system log.

Insert a Datastore node in the call flow.

Fill in the datastore node properties as follows.

  • Select the datastore you created.

  • Set Action to Insert.

  • Select Store Debug Logs.

  • Assign values to datastore columns.
